Abstract

Manufacturing industries are playing an important role in the economic development of a country. Till date in India, most of the manufacturers are performing well. However, their individual system of practice has to meet certain dynamic conditions of international market changes. This eventually requires a definite integrated manufacturing model to measure and enhance the production performance of manufacturing industries in the business arena. The main purpose of this paper is to analyse the performance of the manufacturing industry in India through integrated manufacturing business excellence system (IMBES). The model has been constructed based on ten critical factors with 91 variables. The perception of managers has been collected by structured questionnaire regarding IMBES practice in manufacturing industries. The collected data has been analysed and interpreted. Further, the results revealed that the ten critical success factors of IMBES have contextual relationship and significantly support to implement the model for achieving sustainability in manufacturing industries.
