Agricultural technification in Mexico: implications for sustainability

Abstract

The main aim is to assess the relationships between agricultural technification, sustainable practices, farmer education, and environmental challenges. This study considered dataset from Mexico's national agricultural census and use partial least squares structural equation modelling (PLS-SEM) to deal with. Findings provide empirical evidence to the complex interaction between agricultural technology and sustainability, with producer education serving as a significant mediator and environmental factors playing a conditioning role. This offers valuable insights for policymakers and practitioners working to promote sustainable agricultural development in emerging economies.
