Abstract

El objetivo de este trabajo es analizar el proceso de autoevaluación según el modelo de la Fundación Europea para la Gestión de la Calidad (EFQM) en una pequeña y mediana empresa (PYME). Se estudia cómo se desarrolla este proceso y por qué puede tener éxito, indicando sus benéficos, dificultades, y factores de éxito. Para ello se utiliza la metodología del caso, considerando el análisis de datos primarios y secundarios de una PYME privada que ha tenido éxito con la autoevalaución. La contribución del artículo es que da una visión completa de todo el proceso de autoevaluación (enfoque equipos de trabajo), para ayudar a otras empresas que deseen desarrollar un proceso de este tipo. / The aim of the paper is to analize the EFQM model self-assessment process in an small and medium sized enterprise (SME). This paper shows how a self-assessment process is developed and why it may succeed, indicating its advantages, difficulties, and success factors. A case study is used, analyzing primary and secondary data from a private firm. The contribution of this paper is to give a complete overview of the self-assessment process (workshops approach), to provide lessons for managers of other organizations to learn from.
