Abstract

En los últimos años se ha hablado y escrito mucho sobre el tema de las reestructuraciones de plantillas y sus resultados. Además, la prensa económica nos muestra que estos procesos no han terminado y que se van a seguir repitiendo en el futuro. En este contexto, hemos decidido realizar un estudio acerca de los procesos de reestructuración y sus principales implicaciones en la economía actual. En el presente trabajo se muestra un resumen de las conclusiones más importantes de un estudio realizado al respecto en el ámbito de la provincia de Alicante, indicando las razones que pueden empujar a tomar la decisión de reestructurar la plantilla, los métodos empleados y las nuevas tendencias en el resultado de estos procesos. / In the last years much has been said and written about downsizing policies and results. Furthermore, the economic press reveals that theses processes are not yet over, and that they will continue in the near future. In this frame, we have decided to take a closer look to staff restructuring and its main implications for the present economic environment. This paper reflects the key conclusions of an empirical research on these topics carried on the province of Alicante. Also, the likely reasons given and the means applied by organizations for staff restructuring are stated. Finally, the new tendencies on the effects of these processes are explained.
