Abstract

Uno de los aspectos más relevantes y menos estudiados en el mercado de las artes plásticas es la determinación del precio de la obra de arte y de las variables que lo condicionan. Este trabajo se marca como objetivo realizar un estudio exploratorio que permita validar la importancia relativa de los factores de oferta y demanda tienen en la formación de precios de una obra de arte. Con el objeto de diseñar el constructo "obra de arte" desde una perspectiva estratégica de producto/mercado se analiza la literatura existente sobre fijación de precios en el mercado de las artes plásticas y las variables utilizadas para ello. El logro del objetivo propuesto ha partido de la utilización de una muestra de artistas plásticos de Tenerife, que identificaron su percepción sobre los ítemes que condicionaban la formación de los precios de sus obras de arte. La información obtenida ha sido tratada estadísticamente mediante métodos univariantes y multivariante, lo que ha permitido establecer las relaciones existentes entre las variables utilizadas en la conformación de precios de las obras de arte. / One of the least studied but most relevant aspects in the market of plastic arts in the determination of its price and the variables that condition it. This work's objective is to make an explorative study that would permit validate the relative importance of the factors offer and demand have on the make-up of art's price. With the object to design the construct "art work" from a strategic perspective of product/market, the existent literature is analysed about price fixation in the market of plastic arts and the variables used for it. The obtainance of the proposed object has begun with the utilisation of a tester of plastic artists from Tenerife that identified their own perception of the items that condition the formation of their art work. The infonnation obtained has been treated statistically by univariant and multivariant methods, which has allowed the existent relations between the variables used within the conformation of the art work prices.
