A Generalized Parametric Information Measure and Some Coding Theorems

Abstract

In this paper, a new measure Lsr, called average codeword length of order r and type s, is defined and its relationship with a generalized information measure of order r and type s is discussed. Using Lsr some coding theorems are proved.
