Main Trends in Insurance Market of Foreign Countries That Have Positive Impact on Internet Insurance

Abstract

The article investigates current trends in the insurance market, which can have a positive impact on the development of online insurance and the insurance industry as a whole. The basic prerequisites and consequences of the existence of these trends in the insurance market are revealed. According to the results of the study, the main trend in the insurance market at present is the spread of P2P insurance, cyber insurance, gamification, division on the grounds of belonging to certain aspects of the information space, the use of Big Data, the entry of new innovative companies, the emergence of mobile applications that monitor health, and the use of customer-centric mobile applications. For the development of online insurance, among these trends can be the use of Internet things, Big Data research, gamification, applications for tracking health, and usage of behavioral aspects to calculate premiums. The necessity of the implementation of new trends in the insurance market is substantiated, and the causes of their emergence are uncovered.
