Regional Programmes for Small Business Development as Factor of Increasing Their Activity Efficiency

Abstract

Small business is one of the most dynamic components of market economy that enables development of innovation processes, increase in number of working places, growth of market competition, enhance of regions economic position. Still, small business development can only be possible providing there is purposeful governmental support. The article has its purpose to highlight the specifics of executing small business development programmes. Forms and types of government support for small businesses have been classified. Specifics of regional programmes formation have been highlighted and measures for their efficient implementation have been determined. Sources of financing regional programmes for the development of small business in Ukraine have been analyzed and efficiency of carrying out arrangements provided for by these programmes has been assessed. Dynamics of fulfilling small business development regional programmes in Vinnitsa region has been traced back for 2008-2012. Key indicators of economic development and outcomes of small business activity in the above region have been brought.
