Abstract

Der Beitrag wurde auf einer wissenschaftlichen Tagung anlässlich des dreißigjährigen Bestehens des Instituts für Arbeitsmarkt- und Berufsforschung der Bundesanstalt für Arbeit präsentiert. Der Staatssekretär im Bundesministerium für Arbeit und Sozialordnung befaßt sich darin mit dem Spannungsverhältnis zwischen Politik und Forschung im Fall des IAB und den Leistungen des Instituts in der konkreten Politikberatung.
