Abstract

"In dem Beitrag wird zuerst der Begriff EG-Arbeitsmarkt umrissen und die Tragweite des europäischen Binnenmarktes dargestellt. Danach wird ein Ausblick auf die geplante Wirtschafts- und Währungsunion gegeben. Anschließend wird die aktuelle Situation der Arbeitsmärkte beschrieben. Auf dieser Grundlage werden dann einige zukünftige Arbeitsmarkttrends herausgestellt, soweit dies aus den verfügbaren Unterlagen und Prognosen möglich ist. Da grenzüberschreitende Arbeitskräftebewegungen unmittelbar den Arbeitsmarkt beeinflussen, ist diesem Thema ein eigenes Kapitel gewidmet. Weil das Binnenmarktprogramm vor allem für die Unternehmen zu Kosteneinsparungen durch den Wegfall von Handelshemmnissen führt, wurde seine Flankierung durch eine soziale Dimension in die Diskussion gebracht. Die Erörterung dieser Fragestellung ist Gegenstand eines weiteren Kapitels. Im letzten Teil wird schließlich versucht, Bereiche zukünftigen Handlungsbedarfs auszumachen." (Autorenreferat)
