Abstract

"Mit dem folgenden Beitrag ... wird eine aktuelle Darstellung der Qualifikations- und Beschäftigungsentwicklung von Hochschulabsolventen vorgelegt. Soweit möglich, wird nach Geschlecht und anderen Merkmalen differenziert. Unter den Erwerbstätigen sind hochqualifizierte Männer stärker vertreten als entsprechend ausgebildete Frauen. Allerdings verringert sich der 'Qualifikationsvorsprung' der Männer tendenziell. Weiterhin ist mit höherer Ausbildung in der Regel auch eine höhere Erwerbsneigung und ein sinkendes Arbeitslosenrisiko verbunden. Frauen weisen in nahezu allen Qualifikationsebenen niedrigere Erwerbs- und höhere Arbeitslosenquoten auf als Männer. ... Die Fachrichtungsstruktur der Arbeitslosen mit Wissenschaftlichem oder Fachhochschulabschluß zeigt, daß Absolventen der Fächer, die traditionell überwiegend auf eine Beschäftigung im öffentlichen Dienst ausgerichtet sind, größere Arbeitsmarktprobleme vorfinden als diejenigen, die eher in die Privatwirtschaft oder in Freie Berufe einmünden. Schließlich wurde versucht, den realisierten Verbleib junger Absolventen Wissenschaftlicher Hochschulen anhand von Berechnungen zur Ersatz- und Neunachfrage des öffentlichen Dienstes und der Privatwirtschaft für den Zeitraum 1970-1980 nachzuzeichnen."
