Abstract

"Während der ersten zwölf Monate des Leistungsbezugs im SGB II – der sogenannten Karenzzeit – werden die „kalten Wohnkosten“ in tatsächlicher Höhe vom Jobcenter gezahlt. Erst danach wird ihre Angemessenheit geprüft. Der vorliegende Gesetzentwurf zur Reform der Grundsicherung sieht vor, die Wohnkosten während der Karenzzeit im Regelfall nur noch bis zum Eineinhalbfachen des ortsüblichen Richtwerts zu erstatten. Etwa jede fünfzehnte Bedarfsgemeinschaft, die von der Karenzzeitregelung erfasst ist, wäre von dieser Änderung betroffen." (Autorenreferat, IAB-Doku)
