Abstract

"Das Freizügigkeitsabkommen von 1999 und die schrittweise Öffnung des Schweizer Arbeitsmarktes für EU-Bürgerinnen und -Bürger haben zu einem starken Anstieg der Pendlerzahlen aus den deutschen Grenzregionen geführt. Dies hatte Auswirkungen auf die Beschäftigung und den Ausbildungsmarkt in diesen Regionen. So entwickelten sich die Ausbildungszahlen dort günstiger als im übrigen Baden-Württemberg – insbesondere nach dem „Frankenschock“ von 2011." (Autorenreferat, IAB-Doku)
