Abstract

"Seit geraumer Zeit wird über Vorteile und Machbarkeit einer generellen Vier-Tage-Woche diskutiert. In nicht wenigen Unternehmen gibt es sie bereits, wenn auch in unterschiedlichsten Ausprägungen. Für Firmen kann dies ein wirksames Instrument sein, um ihre Attraktivität als Arbeitgeber zu stärken und so Personal zu gewinnen oder besser an sich zu binden. Wenn die Vier-Tage-Woche allerdings mit einer allgemeinen Verkürzung der Arbeitszeit einherginge, wäre sie angesichts des wachsenden Arbeitskräftemangels gesamtwirtschaftlich eher kontraproduktiv."
