Abstract

"Teilzeitarbeit ist in Deutschland weit verbreitet. Um das Risiko einer Teilzeitfalle zu verringern und die starre Trennung zwischen Voll- und Teilzeit abzubauen, wurde 2019 die Brückenteilzeit eingeführt. Sie ermöglicht es Beschäftigten mittlerer und größerer Betriebe, für einen Zeitraum zwischen einem und fünf Jahren in Teilzeit zu arbeiten, und ist mit einer automatischen Rückkehr zur ursprünglichen Arbeitszeit verbunden. Diese Möglichkeit wird allerdings bislang eher zurückhaltend genutzt. Damit halten sich auch die Auswirkungen auf die Personalpolitik der Betriebe in Grenzen." (Autorenreferat, IAB-Doku)
