Abstract

"Die Bundesregierung plant die Einführung einer Kindergrundsicherung ab dem Jahr 2025. Sie soll die bisherigen finanziellen Unterstützungen in der Familienförderung in einer Förderleistung bündeln, um Familien zu stärken und mehr Kinder aus der Armut zu holen. Kinder und Jugendliche sollen dabei aus dem Bürgergeldbezug herausgelöst werden. Eine unbeabsichtigte Nebenwirkung könnte jedoch sein, dass damit verknüpfte Prozessdaten von Eltern im Bürgergeldbezug und deren Kindern nicht mehr bereitstehen. Welche potenziell dramatischen Folgen sich daraus für die einschlägige IAB-Forschung ergeben, erläutern Kerstin Bruckmeier, Philipp Ramos Lobato und Joachim Wolff im Interview für das IAB-Forum."
