Abstract

"Während der Corona-Pandemie versuchten auch Länder außerhalb der EU mit teils sehr unterschiedlichen Formen der „Kurzarbeit“ die Auswirkungen der Wirtschaftskrise auf den Arbeitsmarkt abzufedern. Die Vereinigten Staaten konzentrierten sich auf die „Short-Time Compensation“ und auf das „Paycheck Protection Program“. Im Interview skizziert Till von Wachter, Professor für Ökonomie an der University of California, diese Instrumente, ihre Umsetzung in der Pandemie und diskutiert, welche Lehren daraus gezogen werden können."
