Abstract

"Junge Menschen aus nicht akademischen Elternhäusern entscheiden sich auch heutzutage im Schnitt seltener für ein Universitätsstudium als Akademikerkinder – selbst bei gleichen schulischen Leistungen. Die Gründe dafür sind vielfältig. Zugleich legen Studien nahe, dass Schulen und Bundesagentur für Arbeit mit einem konzertierten Ausbau berufsorientierender Maßnahmen wesentlich dazu beitragen könnten, dass sich mehr Jugendliche aus bildungsferneren Haushalten für ein Studium entscheiden."
