Abstract

"Das Bruttoinlandsprodukt, das im ersten Halbjahr 2020 infolge der Corona-Pandemie stark geschrumpft war, erholte sich im Sommer deutlich. Im Schlussquartal dürfte die Wirtschaftsentwicklung angesichts der zweiten Infektionswelle erneut nachgegeben haben, bis zuletzt gingen die Infektionszahlen nicht zurück. Jede Woche Lockdown dürfte 0,4 Prozent des Bruttoinlandsprodukts im vierten Quartal gekostet haben. Einen Einbruch wie im Frühjahr gibt es aber nicht, vor allem die Industrie scheint derzeit durch die Corona-Krise weniger belastet. Der Arbeitsmarkt dürfte insgesamt relativ robust bleiben, dennoch beeinträchtigt die weltweite zweite Corona-Welle die Erholung." (Autorenreferat, IAB-Doku)
