Abstract

"Im Zuge der demografischen Entwicklung und des Arbeitsmarktaufschwungs seit der Finanzkrise 2009 hat die Erwerbstätigkeit von Älteren weiter zugenommen. Eine neue monatliche Befragung des IAB über Leben und Erwerbstätigkeit in Zeiten von Corona und aktuelle Arbeitsmarktdaten der Bundesagentur für Arbeit liefern nun erste empirische Befunde zu den Auswirkungen der Corona-Krise auf die Beschäftigung älterer Erwerbspersonen. Die Arbeitslosenquote steigt bei den Älteren nur mäßig. Allerdings dürften viele ältere Minijobber, die in der Krise ihren Job verloren haben, darin nicht erfasst sein." (Autorenreferat, IAB-Doku)
