Abstract

"Eine aktuelle und monatlich durchgeführte Befragung des IAB fördert wichtige Befunde über Leben und Erwerbstätigkeit in Zeiten von Corona zutage. Demnach waren im Mai 2020 etwa 20 Prozent der sozialversicherungspflichtigen Erwerbstätigen von Kurzarbeit betroffen - davon knapp die Hälfte mit einem Arbeitszeitausfall von über 50 Prozent. Bei knapp der Hälfte der Betroffenen stockte der Arbeitgeber das Kurzarbeitergeld der Arbeitslosenversicherung aus eigener Tasche auf. Bei denjenigen, die ganz von der Arbeit freigestellt waren, lag dieser Anteil ähnlich hoch." (Autorenreferat, IAB-Doku)
