Abstract

"Demografie und Digitalisierung sind wichtige Treiber für die künftige Entwicklung des Arbeitskräftebedarfs. Die regionalen Unterschiede sind dabei erheblich: Während die Zahl der Arbeitsplätze in manchen Bundesländern steigen wird, werden insbesondere in Ostdeutschland viele Arbeitsplätze wegfallen. Hier spielt auch die historisch gewachsene Branchenstruktur eine Rolle, die von Bundesland zu Bundesland deutlich variiert. Denn Branchen und Berufe sind unterschiedlich stark vom demografischen Wandel und vom technologischen Fortschritt betroffen." (Autorenreferat, IAB-Doku)
