Abstract

"In der aktuellen Diskussion um Themen wie Fachkräftemangel und Digitalisierung spielen Helfertätigkeiten meist eine untergeordnete Rolle. Ihre Bedeutung, so ein gängiges Argument, sei unweigerlich im Schwinden begriffen. Umso bemerkenswerter ist, dass die Zahl der sozialversicherungspflichtig Beschäftigten in Helfertätigkeiten nach Jahrzehnten des steten Rückgangs in den letzten Jahren wieder gestiegen ist. Dabei variiert ihre Bedeutung von Region zu Region erheblich. Grund dafür sind unterschiedliche Branchenstrukturen." (Autorenreferat, IAB-Doku)
