Abstract

"Es war die einschneidendste Reform des deutschen Arbeitsmarkts seit der Agenda 2010: die Einführung des gesetzlichen Mindestlohns im Jahre 2015. Seinerzeit überboten sich Wissenschaft und Praxis gleichermaßen in teils diametral gegensätzlichen Einschätzungen zu dessen Wirkungen. Mittlerweile liegen hierzu zahlreiche empirisch belastbare Daten und Studien vor. Der Ökonom Oliver Bruttel, der die Geschäftsstelle der paritätisch besetzten, mithin ideologisch unverdächtigen Mindestlohnkommission in Berlin leitet, hat die wichtigsten Ergebnisse in einem englischsprachigen Beitrag für das Journal for Labour Market Research zusammengefasst.
