Abstract

"Im zweiten Quartal 2019 ließ die Konjunktur in Deutschland merklich nach. Vorläufigen Ergebnissen zufolge ist das Bruttoinlandsprodukt saison- und kalenderbereinigt um 0,1 Prozent gegenüber dem Vorquartal gesunken. Ursächlich waren der Wegfall von Sonderfaktoren in der Automobilindustrie, die im ersten Quartal die Konjunktur begünstigten, und eine anhaltende, allgemeine weltwirtschaftliche Konjunkturschwäche. Deutsche Unternehmen beurteilen ihre Lage zunehmend schlechter und auch die Erwartungen für die kommenden Monate sind pessimistischer. Dafür sind die Verschärfung der Handelsauseinandersetzungen zwischen den USA und China sowie die Aussicht auf einen ungeregelten Brexit maßgeblich. Die Konjunkturschwäche schlägt sich auch auf den Arbeitsmarkt nieder. Zwar ist die Lage noch gut, aber die Beschäftigung wächst deutlich langsamer und die Arbeitslosigkeit nimmt nicht mehr weiter ab." (Autorenreferat, IAB-Doku)
