Abstract

"Die deutsche Konjunktur hat sich im zweiten Halbjahr 2018 im Vergleich zu den starken Vorjahren deutlich abgeschwächt. Dies betrifft insbesondere die Industrie und erklärt sich neben Sondereffekten vor allem durch das schwächer gewordene außenwirtschaftliche Umfeld. Dazu tragen auch die anhaltend hohe politische Unsicherheit über den Brexit und Handelskonflikte bei. Nach der aktuellen Delle dürfte die Entwicklung im weiteren Jahresverlauf verhalten positiv sein, die starken Wachstumsraten der Vorjahre werden aber voraussichtlich deutlich unterschritten. Der Arbeitsmarkt zeigt sich gegenüber dieser konjunkturellen Schwächephase robust. Die Beschäftigung steigt weiter, da die Unternehmen sich zunehmend knapp werdende Arbeitskräfte sichern."
