Nürnberger Gespräche: Fesseln oder Leitplanken? Wie viel Regulierung braucht der Arbeitsmarkt?

Abstract

Ob Arbeitszeiten, Mindestlohn, Kündigungsschutz oder Befristungen – an der Frage, wie viel Regulierung der Arbeitsmarkt braucht, scheiden sich seit jeher die Geister. Stets gilt es, die berechtigten Schutz- und Einkommensinteressen der Beschäftigten mit dem ebenso berechtigten Flexibilitätsinteresse der Unternehmen in Übereinstimmung zu bringen. Doch bei allen Differenzen, die hier zwischen Arbeitgebern und Gewerkschaften bestehen, zeigt sich: Im Rahmen einer funktionierenden Sozialpartnerschaft lassen sich in der Regel vernünftige Kompromisse aushandeln, die beiden Seiten gerecht werden. Dies war auch die einhellige Einschätzung einer hochkarätig besetzten Podiumsrunde, die sich am 22. Oktober 2018 im Nürnberger Rathaussaal eingefunden hatte.
