Abstract

"Die deutsche Wirtschaft folgt weiter einem robusten Aufwärtstrend. Das Expansionstempo hat sich aber relativ zum vergangenen Jahr abgeschwächt. Im zweiten Quartal 2018 ist das reale saison- und kalenderbereinigte Bruttoinlandsprodukt (BIP) um 0,5 Prozent im Vergleich zum Vorquartal gewachsen. Im ersten Quartal wurde eine etwas schwächere Entwicklung von 0,4 Prozent verzeichnet. Die Wachstumsimpulse kommen hauptsächlich aus dem Inland. Die Unsicherheit über die Entwicklung der internationalen handelspolitischen Konflikte hingegen hemmt den konjunkturellen Ausblick. Am aktuellen Rand haben sich die Aussichten für die nächsten Monate aber durch die vorläufige Einigung zwischen EU und USA wieder etwas aufgehellt. Der Arbeitsmarkt entwickelt sich weiter gut und stützt so die inländische Nachfrage." (Autorenreferat, IAB-Doku)
