Abstract

"Die konjunkturelle Entwicklung in Deutschland hat an Schwung verloren. So wuchs das reale saison- und kalenderbereinigte Bruttoinlandsprodukt (BIP) im ersten Quartal 2018 um moderate 0,3 Prozent im Vergleich zum Vorquartal. Für die zukünftige Entwicklung zeichnet sich ein gemischtes Bild. So trüben sich Indikatoren wie die Konjunkturerwartungen durch die Zuspitzung der Handelskonflikte und politische Unsicherheiten zunehmend ein, die binnenwirtschaftliche Nachfrage blieb im ersten Quartal aber kräftig. Insgesamt dürfte sich das Wachstum fortsetzen, allerdings schwächer als im Vorjahr. Die starke inländische Nachfrage liegt nicht zuletzt an der anhaltend günstigen Entwicklung auf dem Arbeitsmarkt. Allerdings hat sich der Abbau der Arbeitslosigkeit im Vergleich zum starken Jahreswechsel verlangsamt." (Autorenreferat, IAB-Doku)
