Abstract

"In der Frühjahrsprognose für das Jahr 2018 erwartet das IAB einen weiteren Aufbau der sozialversicherungspflichtigen Beschäftigung (IAB-Kurzbericht 07/2018). Auf regionaler Ebene zeigen sich allerdings größere Unterschiede in dieser Entwicklung: Während die höchste Wachstumsrate in Berlin mit 3,6 Prozent erreicht wird, fällt sie in Sachsen-Anhalt und Thüringen mit 1,3 Prozent am niedrigsten aus. Darüber hinaus werden Rückgänge der Arbeitslosigkeit zwischen -10,1 Prozent in Thüringen und -4,2 Prozent in Bremen erwartet. Absolut gesehen wird Arbeitslosigkeit mehrheitlich im Bereich des Zweiten Buches Sozialgesetzbuch (SGB II) abgebaut. Insgesamt werden besonders günstige Arbeitsmarktentwicklungen in Baden-Württemberg, Berlin, Niedersachsen und Schleswig-Holstein, unterdurchschnittliche hingegen in Bremen, Hamburg, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Nordrhein-Westfalen, dem Saarland und Sachsen-Anhalt erwartet. Im Vergleich mit der Prognose vom Herbst 2017 werden insbesondere in Bezug auf den Abbau der Arbeitslosigkeit noch einmal günstigere Entwicklungen prognostiziert." (Autorenreferat, IAB-Doku)
