Abstract

"Die deutsche Wirtschaft ist 2017 mit 2,2 Prozent im Vergleich zum Vorjahr kräftig gewachsen. Ein höherer Wert wurde zuletzt während des Aufschwungs nach der Wirtschafts- und Finanzkrise 2008/09 verzeichnet. Die gute konjunkturelle Entwicklung dürfte sich im aktuellen Jahr fortsetzen. Dazu tragen ein günstiges weltwirtschaftliches Umfeld und die unverändert expansive Geldpolitik bei. Zum Start in das neue Jahr liegt die Einschätzung der Geschäftslage der Unternehmen auf einem neuen Rekordhoch. Auch die Konjunkturerwartungen für die nächsten Monate zeigen aufwärts. Dämpfend wirkt der starke Eurokurs, der die deutschen Exporte verteuert. Der deutsche Arbeitsmarkt knüpft an seine sehr gute Entwicklung aus dem Vorjahr an und ist mit Schwung in das neue Jahr gestartet. Die Arbeitslosigkeit sinkt weiter." (Autorenreferat, IAB-Doku)
