Abstract

"Die Arbeitswelt hat sich in den letzten Jahrzehnten grundlegend verändert. Das zeigen auch die Forschungsergebnisse aus dem Panel 'Arbeitsmarkt und soziale Sicherung' (PASS). Obwohl die meisten Erwerbstätigen auch heute noch in unbefristeten Festanstellungen tätig sind, haben andere Formen der Beschäftigung seit den 1980er Jahren deutlich an Bedeutung gewonnen. So ist etwa die Zahl der Teilzeit- und Minijobs gestiegen, was mit der zunehmenden Erwerbstätigkeit von Frauen und dem vielerorts knappen Angebot an Kinderbetreuungs- und Pflegeeinrichtungen zusammenhängt. Vor allem Mütter arbeiten oftmals in Teilzeit, um beruflichen und privaten Anforderungen gleichermaßen gerecht werden zu können." (Autorenreferat, IAB-Doku)
