Abstract

"Regionale Mobilität ist wichtig auf dem deutschen Arbeitsmarkt, nicht nur als Ausgleichsmechanismus, sondern auch als individuelle Strategie von Erwerbstätigen und Arbeitslosen. Denn der Arbeitsmarkt zeichnet sich auch im Jahr 2017 durch große regionale Unterschiede aus. Während viele industrielle Ballungszentren in Süddeutschland annähernd Vollbeschäftigung aufweisen, sind weite Teile Ost- und Norddeutschlands wesentlich stärker von Arbeitslosigkeit betroffen. Auch zwischen ländlich geprägten Regionen und den städtischen Ballungszentren zeigen sich deutliche Unterschiede." (Autorenreferat, IAB-Doku)
