Abstract

"Das Beschäftigungswachstum setzt sich auch im Jahr 2018 fort. Die erwarteten Wachstumsraten variieren zwischen 3,0 Prozent in Berlin und 0,9 Prozent im Saarland. Darüber hinaus wird ein weiterer Abbau der Arbeitslosigkeit prognostiziert, der von 5,0 Prozent in Brandenburg bis 0,5 Prozent in Nordrhein-Westfalen reicht. Dieser lässt sich in Westdeutschland mehrheitlich auf den Bereich der Arbeitslosenversicherung zurückführen, während in Ostdeutschland ein stärkerer Rückgang im Bereich der sozialen Grundsicherung erwartet wird. In Bezug auf Beschäftigung und Arbeitslosigkeit werden günstige Entwicklungen in Baden-Württemberg, Bayern, Brandenburg, Hessen und Niedersachsen erwartet, unterdurchschnittliche jedoch in Nordrhein-Westfalen, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Rheinland-Pfalz und dem Saarland. Im Vergleich mit der Prognose für das Jahr 2017 (Stand: Frühjahr 2017) fallen das Beschäftigungswachstum sowie der Abbau der Arbeitslosigkeit im Jahr 2018 voraussichtlich etwas schwächer aus."
