Abstract

"Vor zehn Jahren wurde die Studie 'Lebensqualität und soziale Sicherung' - auch bekannt unter der Abkürzung PASS - 'Panel Arbeitsmarkt und soziale Sicherung' - ins Leben gerufen, eine der größten wissenschaftlichen Untersuchungen in Deutschland. In ihrem Mittelpunkt steht die Frage, wie sich die Lebensumstände der Menschen hierzulande über die Zeit verändern. Mark Trappmann ist Leiter der Studie und des Forschungsbereichs 'Panel Arbeitsmarkt und soziale Sicherung'(PASS) am IAB, der die jährliche Befragung in Zusammenarbeit mit dem infas Institut für angewandte Sozialwissenschaft im Auftrag des Bundesministeriums für Arbeit und Soziales durchführt. Er erläutert im Interview die Beweggründe für die Studie, was das Besondere an ihr ist und was mit den Befragungsergebnissen passiert." (Autorenreferat, IAB-Doku)
