Abstract

"Aus- und Weiterbildung sind wichtige betriebliche Instrumente, um den Bedarf an Fachkräften zu sichern, Qualifikationen an technische oder organisatorische Änderungen anzupassen und Unternehmen wettbewerbsfähig zu halten. In den letzten Jahren haben sich Unternehmen zunehmend in der Aus- und Weiterbildung engagiert. Allerdings bestehen Unterschiede sowohl zwischen verschiedenen Betriebs- und Beschäftigtengruppen als auch zwischen Ost- und Westdeutschland." (Autorenreferat, IAB-Doku)
