Abstract

"Umfragen in der Bevölkerung zeigen, dass das Thema 'Pflege' regelmäßig einen hohen Stellenwert bei den Erwartungen an die Familienpolitik einnimmt. Insbesondere bei der Vereinbarkeit von Pflege und Beruf sowie einer generell besseren Unterstützung von Angehörigen, die Pflegebedürftige zu Hause betreuen, wird dringender Handlungsbedarf gesehen. Dieses Ergebnis ist angesichts von 2,34 Millionen Pflegebedürftigen, die im Jahr 2009 Leistungen aus der Pflegeversicherung bezogen, kaum überraschend. Aufgrund demografischer Entwicklungen dürfte das Thema 'Altenpflege' künftig weiter an Bedeutung gewinnen." (Autorenreferat, IAB-Doku)
