Abstract

"The financial and economic crisis has led to massive fiscal interventions worldwide. Economic stimulus plans are intended to bolster macroeconomic demand and thereby cushion a collapse in production. In this way employment is to be stabilized and unemployment avoided. Economic stimulus plans have been applied in Germany as well. What can they achieve and what effects on the labour market are to be expected? A test report." (Authors' abstract, IAB-Doku) ((en))
