Abstract

"If one considers the situation of the economy and the labour market 20 years after the fall of the Berlin Wall certain signs of a blossoming can be identified here or there. However one cannot talk of a flourishing landscape. For that there are too many grey patches with low economic productivity and high unemployment. The East may be catching up but the process isn't automatic." (Author's abstract, IAB-Doku) ((en))
