Abstract

"Equality is a topic that is being discussed throughout Europe. Women and men are de jure equal in all countries in the European Union but are they in fact equal in the world of work? Their participation in gainful employment and their chances of achieving a full-time job and good pay are not equally developed everywhere. Just as far apart are the risks of becoming unemployed or unemployed for a long period of time. Where does Germany stand in comparison to its European neighbours?" (Authors' abstract, IAB-Doku) ((en))
