Förderung der Chancengleichheit - Ganz schön schwierig

Abstract

Im Sommer 2001 hatten sich Bundesregierung und die Spitzenverbände der deutschen Wirtschaft darauf geeinigt, dass die Betriebe die Chancengleichheit von Frauen und Männern ohne gesetzliche Vorgaben fördern sollten. Im IAB-Betriebspanel 2002 und 2004 wurden die Betriebe gefragt, ob sie Maßnahmen ergreifen, um die Chancengleichheit und die Vereinbarkeit von Familie und Beruf zu fördern, und welche das sind. Ergebnis: Ein Teil der Betriebe in Deutschland fördert die Gleichstellung von Frauen und Männern durch Vereinbarungen und Initiativen. Das betrifft vor allem große Betriebe mit mehr als 500 Beschäftigten, Betriebe des Kredit- und Versicherungsgewerbes und den Sektor Bergbau/ Energie- und Wasserversorgung. Von den konkreten Maßnahmen am weitesten verbreitet ist das Angebot für Arbeitskräfte in Elternzeit, Kontakt zum Betrieb oder Beruf zu halten. Betriebliche Kinderbetreuungsangebote hingegen sind sehr selten. Immerhin fördert jeder vierte Betrieb seinen weiblichen Nachwuchs. Zwischen den Jahren 2002 und 2004 hat sich an der betrieblichen Förderpraxis wenig geändert. (IAB)
