Arbeitsmarkt - Hochqualifizierte im Dauerhoch

Abstract

Der Aufsatz bilanziert positiv den Arbeitsmarkt für Akademikerinnen und Akademiker mit auch weiterhin steigenden Aussichten. Die Zahlen sprechen für sich: Universitäts- und Fachhochschulabsolventen erzielten 2001 einen Brutto-Stundenlohn von 21 Euro (im Vergleich zu 14 Euro für Nichtakademiker), 80 bis 90 Prozent arbeiten auf ausbildungsadäquaten Stellen, nur drei bis sechs Prozent sind arbeitslos. Die Beschäftigungschancen dieser Gruppe dürften weiter steigen, da (1) die Expansion anspruchsvoller Dienstleistungstätigkeiten in den Bereichen Forschung und Entwicklung, Beratung und Lehre immer wichtiger wird, (2) der demographische Wandel zu einem starken Absinken der Erwerbsbevölkerung führen wird und (3) die Studierneigung sinkt und von daher ein Mangel an Hochqualifizierten zu erwarten ist.
