Abstract

Durch das zweite Buch des Sozialgesetzbuches werden ab 1. Januar 2005 Arbeitslosenhilfe und Sozialhilfe zu einer einheitlichen Grundsicherung für Arbeitslose zusammengeführt. Der Gesetzgeber hat diese Reform des Sozialsystems mit Forschungsaufträgen verbunden. Das IAB soll dabei die Eingliederungsleistungen und die Leistungen zur Sicherung des Lebensunterhaltes evaluieren. In dem Beitrag werden die zentralen Forschungsaufgaben des IAB kurz vorgestellt.
