Abstract

Die griechische Gegenwartskultur hat ihre Wurzeln sowohl in der Geschichte als auch in der Tradition und Volkskunst Griechenlands. Diese Kultur bekundet sich in den verschiedensten Bereichen: In der Architektur ebenso wie in der Musik oder in der Dichtung, aber auch in Holzschnitzereien etwa, in Kupferarbeiten, Volkstrachten, Stickereien und vielem Anderen mehr. In dieser Kultur und Tradition wurzelnd, haben die griechischen Künstler über Jahrhunderte hindurch neue künstlerische Ausdrucksformen ent¬wickelt, die sich in ihrem ästhetischen Niveau ohne Weiteres mit denen anderer europäischer Länder messen. Um dies besser zu verstehen, präsentieren wir insbesondere die geohistorischen und kulturellen Ressourcen des Landes
