Abstract

AimTo evaluate the effectiveness of the “Three Good Things†(TGT) intervention in improving dyadic coping, mutuality, and well-being among young and middle-aged stroke survivors and their spousal caregivers.MethodsA parallel-group quasiexperimental design was used. One hundred young and middle-aged stroke survivors and their spousal caregivers were recruited and assigned to either the intervention (n = 50) or control group (n = 50). The intervention group received eight sessions of the TGT intervention plus routine care. Outcomes were assessed at baseline, immediately postintervention, and at one- and three-month follow-up. Intervention effects over time and role differences were examined using multilevel modeling.ResultsThe intervention group showed significantly higher overall levels of dyadic coping, mutuality, and subjective well-being than the control group (all p
