Nonlinear Dynamic Solution via HAM and Its Application in Designing a Roller-Cam Quasi-Zero-Stiffness Isolation System

Abstract

In modern industry, vibration control is crucial for equipment safety, and high-precision instruments require effective vibration reduction. The homotopy analysis method (HAM) can solve nonlinear problems without relying on small-parameter assumptions, overcoming the limitations of traditional approaches. This study outlines its application to nonlinear vibration differential equations. To address the limitations of low-frequency vibration isolators, a roller-cam quasi-zero-stiffness (QZS) vibration isolator is designed. Its characteristics are obtained through static analysis, and its dynamic behavior and transmissibility are calculated using the harmonic balance method and verified by HAM. The parameters of the vibration isolation system are then optimized to improve vibration control performance.
