Abstract

This study investigates the spatial characteristics of solutions for a class of thermoelastic plates governed by biharmonic operators within a semi-infinite strip in two-dimensional Euclidean space R2. The research begins with the derivation of an energy functional. Subsequently, by applying an energy method, an integral-differential inequality is established, allowing effective control of the energy functional through its first-order derivative. Finally, spatial decay estimates for the solution are derived. This result extends the Saint-Venant principle to hyperbolic–parabolic coupled biharmonic systems.
