Var den økonomiske politik og de økonomiske modeller inspireret af Keynes?

Abstract

Der er næppe nogen økonom, der er uddannet i de sidste 75 år, som har kunnet undgå at høre om Keynes’ tanker. Dertil var hans iver efter at deltage i debatten om økonomisk politik alt for stor og hans intensitet for enestående. Hertil kom, at han præsenterede sine tanker som et opgør med den konventionelle – »klassiske« – modelverden, hvor ligevægt på alle delmarkeder – herunder arbejdsmarkedet – forholdsvist smertefrit blev etableret, når man lod den frie konkurrence virke. Han ville viske tavlen ren og præsentere en model, hvor der var grus i maskineriet, hvor hverken kapitalapparatet eller arbejdskraften blev udnyttet optimalt – økonomien kunne gå i stå på forskellige niveauer.
