»Er der et dansk produktivitetskollaps?«

Abstract

Dalgaard og Hansen (DH) bringer i artiklen »Er der et dansk produktivitetskollaps?« en statistisk analyse af den danske produktivitetsvækst for at undersøge, om der er sket et brud i udviklingen. Artiklen er et bidrag til debatten om, hvorvidt Danmark har et produktivitetsproblem, og sætter fokus på et vigtigt og aktuelt emne. Økonomi- og Erhvervsministeriet udgav i efteråret 2009 en analyse af produktivitetsudviklingen, som viser, at Danmark velstandsmæssigt har tabt terræn i forhold til andre lande siden midten af 1990erne. Danmarks tab af terræn skyldes en særskilt svag produktivitetsvækst. Den danske produktivitetsvækst har i perioden siden midten af 1990erne ligget på gennemsnitligt knap 0,8 pct. om året. Det er lavt i både et historisk perspektiv og i forhold til andre rige lande. OECD-landene har under ét haft en gennemsnitlig årlig vækst på knap 2 pct. om året. DH rejser to spørgsmål i deres artikel. Dels om trenden i den danske produktivitetsvækst har været aftagende, dels om den danske vækst er urovækkende lav i forhold til andre lande.
