Abstract

Seven sisters are the names given to the daughters of Atlas in Greek mythology. The sisters have been inspired by a great passion for each other. Following the death of the sisters, the names of ulker and Sureyya constellations continued. This story, described as a mythological story, was revived by the Italian politician Enrico Mattei on the agenda of the seven big energy companies, which were monopoly in the energy sector of the 20th century. Since the beginning of the 1900s, different actors have been added to these companies, which have dominated the energy sector around the world. However, thanks to various mergers, seven sisters are still in a strong position in the oil sector. In this study, the actors who are influential in the oil sector are analyzed with a historical perspective and the position of the current actors is discussed.
